It's exciting to meet people also affected by Turner's. I had never heard of the syndrome until we got pregnant with Hannah.
I too, fear of what is to come, but take comfort in knowing of where I'm going ultimately! I hope to 'see' you around!!! :)Hannah's Wingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04290878856861208861noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4375584113958341299.post-44266823546556657612011-04-06T05:59:44.513-07:002011-04-06T05:59:44.513-07:00Thanks, Destany!! And we too have had some immunizations but have recently decided to not have anymore for now.Hannah's Wingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04290878856861208861noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4375584113958341299.post-46452251584939409862011-04-05T13:55:33.583-07:002011-04-05T13:55:33.583-07:00Hi! I recently found your blog and have been read...Hi! I recently found your blog and have been reading about your baby Hannah. We lost our daughter, Hope, 6 years ago due to Turner's Syndrome. We lost her before she was born, her little heart just couldn't keep up with her growth in the womb anymore. I love the title of this post...I've said the same things myself many times! A simple life sounds so wonderful in this life! I agree that life has gotten so far away from where it should be...and I fear what is to come, yet. You have a nice blog, and I am pleased to follow you. Have a blessed day!
JessJesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03030508564441677291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4375584113958341299.post-39012231949228748702011-04-04T12:10:48.310-07:002011-04-04T12:10:48.310-07:00Hi there, I saw your comment on Raising Arrows and...Hi there, I saw your comment on Raising Arrows and the title intrigued me. I too, have always admired the simple Amish way of life.
We also want to become more self-sufficient(making our own bread, laundry soap, gardening etc.).
I'm still struggling with the immunization issue.
We've had some vaccines but not others.
Anyhow, nice to 'meet' you!Sandpiperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08160427310059519577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4375584113958341299.post-90621711643118391322011-03-31T10:37:50.085-07:002011-03-31T10:37:50.085-07:00I don't think any of the things you mentioned ...I don't think any of the things you mentioned make you necessarily Amish ... just very content with the simple life! It's great that you've done your own research on the subject of immunizations. Some people just take someone else's word for it and don't take the time to actually learn about it. We may not do the same for our children in that respect, but we are both doing what is right for our families :)Destanyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17055789250013146085noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4375584113958341299.post-89573312110229760882011-03-30T09:02:03.311-07:002011-03-30T09:02:03.311-07:00Thank you, Stori for your beautiful comment! I appreciate that you and I can both be right in our decisions as long as we first look to the Lord for guidance!Hannah's Wingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04290878856861208861noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4375584113958341299.post-8725201896980827612011-03-30T07:16:19.714-07:002011-03-30T07:16:19.714-07:00I admire all the ways you are simplifing your life...I admire all the ways you are simplifing your life! One thing I learned while living in the Congo for a month, is that our lives are way to complicated. I saw some of the happiest people with nothing but faith and each other.
As far as vaccinations go. I am sure that many children have been negatively affected by vaccinations. But we are lucky to live in a country where vaccinations have eliminated the chance of our children dying from these illnesses. Children die everyday in third world countries, because these illnesses have not been "wiped out" by vaccinations. Because you live in this country you can safely decide not to vaccinate your children. Although, I have decided to vaccinate my children, I admire your research.
If only everyone would put so much time and research into their faith, family and children the world would be a much better place : )Storihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02193235115801284173noreply@blogger.com
